The 904L (UNS N08904) Super Austenitic Stainless Steel Socket Weld Elbow is a highly alloyed, low-carbon, non-stabilized austenitic stainless steel. The addition of copper to this grade gives it vastly improved resistance to strong reducing acids, particularly sulfuric acid. With its high nickel and molybdenum content, 904L also offers excellent immunity to chloride stress corrosion cracking, as well as outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion.
